I am settled in the UK but do not have a document to prove that I can live and work in the UK.
I would like to apply for UK citizenship because one of the following applies to me:
- I came to the UK from a Commonwealth country before 1973
- My parents came to the UK from a Commonwealth country before 1973
- I am the child of a Commonwealth citizen (including one who has a right of abode) who was settled in the UK before 1 January 1973. I was born in the UK or arrived in the UK before the age of 18 and have lived continuously in the UK since my arrival.
- I came to the UK from another country before 31 December 1988 and am now settled here
- I believe that I have been impacted or suffered loss as a result of not being able to prove my immigration status.
- The loss that I suffered includes:
- Not being able to work
- Unable to find a place to live
- Denied health treatment
- Immigration action, detention or deportation
- Other
